Newlyweds, Peter and Frances Hunter have more than the usual mother-in-law and financial problems. Their lives are complicated by a surprising delivery from the "Scandinavian Glassware Company" that turns out to be a lot more provocative than glassware. From the moment the package arrives, life becomes increasingly crazy as they attempt to return the package, avoid prison and put a stop to any further delivery of "glassware."

Adding to the growing confusion are a nervous cashier, a mother-in-law romancing the bank manager, an auditor, a police superintendent, some delivery people and a couple of ladies of the evening.
