SCT's Smoke on the Mountain Named Runner Up
at the 2007 SETC Festival

Madeline Golden, Krista Vowell Honored

Starkville Community Theatre sent the Sanders Family to the big city of Atlanta for the 2007 Southeatern Theatre Conference Festival after its production of Smoke on the Mountain was name Best Production at the 2007 MTA Festival in Oxford. The seven-member cast, under the direction of Pattye Archer and Alison Stamps, was named Runner-Up in the community theatre division. The top two theatres advanced to the 2007 American Association of Community Theatre's AACTFest. In addition to the overall award, Madeline Golden, who played "Vera," and Krista Vowell, who played "June," earned Outstand Performance by an Actress awards.
